Corporal Jones of Company G Seventh Infantry was shot in both thighs by a Carranza soldier who leaped from a trench in Agua Prieta shouting Viva Carranza. The attack occurred while Jones patrolled near the boundary by the customs house. Indefinite detention of all imports from Villa territory was ordered at the port of El Paso due to fraudulent designation of goods. The Mexican Consul notified importers that Carranza will seek duties collected by Villa officials and not paid to the Carranza government, requiring payment to the Carranza consulate in this city.

Children Enjoy Halloween Party At St John Parish
St John Parish house hosted a Halloween Sunday school party for children and parents. Rooms were decorated with black cats pumpkins and crepe paper.
