The California Forestry Society asks residents to submit measurements of large eucalyptus trees. Data needed include owner, species, planting site, year, diameter or circumference, and height. Submissions accepted until December 1 and sent to State Forester G. B. Lull for tally.

A trio including F Barrera Antone Ortiz and B Barentos were jailed after a Saturday fight in which bottles were used as weapons. Marshal Lyman arrested them and Recorder Hall fined each $100 with 50 days jail for nonpayment.

Masquerade Dance Opens Winter Social Season
About 50 couples attended Friday night Masquerade at Glass Bros hall hosted by Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Howard. Prizes went to Mrs. Harrin as an Indian squaw and Amie ProvensaI as a tramp. Additional noted costumes included a Negress, a Red Cross nurse, a Corona Independent, and various cowboy and Japanese themes. Music led by Mrs. Bates with floor direction by R. W. Enos. dances planned each Friday after the class.

Mexican Suspect Brought In After Getaway
