London March 29 The new British pension plan will cost the government nearly 1 725 000 000 dollars before the last pensioner dies. Actuaries for the non partisan committee say the first year expenditure will be about 280 000 000 dollars and the year after the war about 65 000 000 dollars. Estimates assume an army of three million men and ten percent death rate with twelve percent disability.
Redlands maintains about one hundred fly traps in the business district with city workers handling baiting and cleaning. Five hundred private traps operate around town near barns and back doors using syrup and fruit as bait.
