The A. H. Cross Realty at 705 Main Street reports the sale of the Bonfoey alfalfa ranch in Auburndale farmsite. About twenty two acres transfer to William Dorscher of Minnesota, joining Peter Jacobs to operate as a dairy ranch and potential local creamery supplier.

Elsinore Chamber Plans Lake Elsinore Visit and Banquet

The county chamber of commerce meets in Elsinore with a one o'clock business session at the Star theatre followed by a Lake Elsinore tour and visits to local industries. The annual banquet will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Lake View Inn with speakers and entertainment. Members from Corona should respond by Tuesday the 13th to Secretary Farrar.

Crowds flock to Corona as the Beasley Talbert Amusement Company showcases the tallest man Donald MacGregor at 8 ft 2 1 2 in and weighs 420 pounds, a glass blower, Ferris wheel, and dancing girls drawing large crowds. Also reports a house fire on Washington Street due to a gasoline stove. Degeorge home insured for 750 and 400 for the house. firebell failed and a 4 inch line is urged for the neighborhood protecting nearby Washington school building.

Morning Fire Highlights Fire Safety at Washington School

A morning blaze at 218 Sheridan Street underscored dangers to the Washington school building. Fire hydrants nearby were blocked or too small, forcing use of the Third and Main hydrant and an auto dispatch for 400 extra feet of hose as the fire crew battled the flames.

Corona Chamber Weighs Local Cannery Start

Week's Work Under White Help Is Proving Satisfactory

Corona's one week of employing white workers in the orange and lemon groves is viewed as a successful initial experience. Thirty one white men from the Los Angeles State Employment bureau are at the Corona Lemon company's ranch and more may be added. Foreman McNaughton is pleased with results. One worker, after a day picking fruit, said he could not do the task but would try other work and is now doing well.
