The Pacific Electric railway finishes a 12mile section toward Corona and aims to push another 12mile extension toward Corona, with work starting four months ago from Los Angeles to La Habra and planned entry to this city by January first, 1911. The project runs south of Brea canyon oil wells and through Placentia country toward Olinda oil fields near Fullerton. The Santa Fe line meantime builds a faster cut off through Placentia country.

A Baraca Hall will be built north of the church for Baptist Sunday school youths. The one story 24 by 42 foot frame building will include a 24 by 36 main room sized for classes social gatherings and a gym. Dressing rooms and showers accompany the gym. Pomona College Receives $170,000 Gift Aid
At commencement Pomona College announced a total gift of 170000 dollars toward Carnegie funds. The campaign, led by President Blaisdell, raised 130000 dollars to obtain 40000 dollars from Andrew Carnegie. Of the total, 60000 dollars will endow chairs for Greek and English at Pomona College.
