Auto and Handcar Collision at Rincon Crossing
An auto driven by an unknown man collided with two handcars at the Santa Fe crossing in Rincon yesterday morning. The handcars, one with a steel rail weighing about a ton, were being pushed by a gasoline powered car. The auto smashed into the center of the cars. a Mexican section hand sprained an ankle. No others were hurt. The driver said he searched for smoke from a train and failed to see the handcars. He risks his life if he assumes trains always emit smoke from their stacks while moving.
