C H Birdsall of West Boulevard escaped unharmed after his Buick plunged into a storm drain on Lincoln Avenue near daybreak. The car rested five feet down, top and windshield damaged, as onlookers gathered to witness the remarkable rescue and the wreckage released by the Main Street garage crew.

Commencement Exercises Draw Huge Pasadena Audience
