Three Women Charged in San Bernardino Current Theft

Warrants issued charging the theft of electrical current in San Bernardino. T C Burns and six others at Rialto Avenue and F Streets face charges after inspectors found meters cut out and current burning unregistered. Organize Booster Club This Evening

Business leaders and other residents will meet tonight at 8 at city hall to organize the Corona Boosters Club. Officers will be chosen and committees appointed to boost membership and advertise Corona in Los Angeles to attract tourists and promote regional growth. The Italian steamship Angelo Parodi, reported to have sunk in fog, has been towed into port by the Greek steamer Crios after nine days adrift without coal. The revenue cutter Ithasca failed to regain contact in heavy seas before the Crios located the Parodi.

Chicago Jan 28 The American Association now joins the National and American leagues as the third major league in U S baseball President Chivington announced. The national commission has allowed entry into cities used by the other two leagues and eliminated all drafts on the American Association.

Sacramento reports a fight between Riverside Assemblyman Avey and Wills of Imn over Ocean Highway location. Charming Farewell Reception for Mrs Carter at Stafford Home

Wolfe Seated in Senate After Recall Election Victory

SACRAMENTO January 28 The senate committee recommended that Howard J Wolfe of San Francisco be seated after defeating former senator Grant in a recall election. Grant's contest was denied. Canal Opening Postponed

The Panama Canal opening ceremonies likely delayed from March to July. President Wilson plans a San Francisco rail trip in March and a Panama visit later for the naval review. Governor Gee-Sauls said he could not guarantee warship passage on the original date.
