Riverside Woman Killed in Runaway Accident
Riverside report: Mrs. Joseph Beal died from a fractured skull after she and Mrs. Mary Hoover were injured when horses driven by Beal spooked by a passing car. Beal jumped and struck the pavement and died minutes later. Hoover was seriously hurt and at Riverside County Hospital. Beal’s husband remained with the rig until it struck a telephone pole.

The first city theft in years happened last evening when a thief broke into Dr W Davis's garage at Main and the Boulevard and stole his 1914 Ford with license 85355. Neighbors saw a strange man around 8 p m and police, led by Chief Ramsey, searched by car and motorcycle all night but found no trace. A road to Elsinore may have been used, with possible San Diego destination, and eight cars were reported stolen in Los Angeles last night prompting a citywide watch.
