Riverside county voters rejected the new charter by seven to one. Corona supported the measure but Riverside failed with low turnout. In Corona precincts 1 3 and 5, 155 for 84 against. In precinct 2 92 for 105 against. Corona total in favor 58.
Police reports from War saw indicate suicides have decreased by one third despite thousands of starving refugees flooding the city. Personal crisis reports numbered 671 last year versus 1 003 the year before, signaling a notable change in distress calls during the war.
