Tulare County Moves To Vote On $2.2 Million Road Bonds

Funeral services for Frank Ewing were held at Fiynns Undertaking Parlors with Rev Holt in charge. Knights of Pythias conducted a march and service at Sun nyslope cemetery. Pallbearers were H E Roberts William Corkhill W E Gunn John Crawford B F Meyers and H Armour. Ewing came from Kansas seven years ago and had been on Corona police force before an injury. He leaves a wife four daughters and a son.

Prohibition Ends Red Light District Reduces Denver Crime

Denver officials say prohibition and eliminating the red light district have made crime among women almost negligible. They agree the city has no need for a women’s court like those in New York and Los Angeles, as only a few women prisoners pass through the Denver police court.
