On Thanksgiving morning the High School team defeated the town squad, led by former students Hill Slaten Archer Grett Beele and Lambeth. The halftime score was 12 to 8, and the final 33 to 18. Referee was Charles Ware of Elsinore.
First and second grades meet on Thursday December 7 to discuss spelling and number work. The third to fifth grades meet Monday December 11 and the sixth to eighth grade group meets Tuesday December 12 for teaching method discussions. Boys and girls basketball games are set for next Saturday at Elsinore with hopes Corona spectators attend to cheer.
The notes list a debate set for January 12 1917 on establishing an international court with permanent jurisdiction. Hemet and Perris host matches with San Jacinto and Corona, home teams affirming. Sale set Friday December 15 1916 at noon in front of Corona City Hall, bid to raise funds for the judgment.

It will be held December 19 1916 at 10 00 AM at the corporation office corner Fifth Street and Ramona Avenue Corona California. A copy of this notice will be published weekly in the Corona Independent for sixty days by order of the board of directors.
