Gambling dens closed at Tia Juana boom town
San Diego reports that under orders from Lower California Governor Calisteban Cantu, the Monte Carlo at Tia Juana Mexico was shut down. Twenty six bunco men and gamblers were rounded up by Mexican authorities led by Lieut Colonel Francisco Vasques and marched to the border where San Diego police and sheriff men took custody. They are jailed in San Diego. The move follows complaints by tourists of losses at Tia Juana huts. Authorities expect further action beyond the county line.

Thirty nine cars of oranges and two cars of lemons sold yesterday in New York. Extra fancy oranges steady while fancy and choice types fell 10 to 14 cents on small sizes and eased on large. wasted stock declined. Lemons rose about 15 cents. Oranges averaged 1.61 to 3.22 dollars with Kenilworth and Golden Cross at 3.40 dollars top price. Cloudy weather and 49 degree temperature.
