Wonderful Experience to Fly Above German Camps

Fred McLaren, a Canadian aviator with allied troops in France, writes of being shot down twice by German airmen and escaping a crash after balance on a broken wing. He recalls flying above German camps with constant gunfire and notes his pilot was killed in the last incident. McLaren Sr. is remembered in Coronado for addressing the local Episcopal church group last spring.

Under a Wilson proclamation dated April 6 1917 alien enemies are forbidden to possess firearms munitions explosives aircraft wireless devices or secret writings.
