Riverside WCTU opens record session in First Congregational Church
One of the most profitable sessions ever held in Riverside County opened at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning April 15 in the First Congregational church. County president Mrs. B. Eyes presided with greetings from union presidents and reports from department superintendents. Alice French urged anti narcotics action and a church service ban for narcotics users. A White Ribbon pledge ceremony tied ribbons on children as a recruitment symbol. Mrs. Graham entertained with song and Mrs. Irvine praised California ladies. A memorial service followed and a parliamentary drill by Mrs. Jay Gleason highlighted the day. (Continued on Page Five.)

Over two weeks Corona shipments total 87 carloads of citrus from the Queen Colony Fruit Exchange, with 35 orange cars and 9 lemon cars this week and 34 orange cars and 9 lemon cars last week. The exchange has deposited a quarter million dollars to growers in 40 days, the highest in this period. Navel fruit shows strength, eastern auctions firming, with lemons at 5.50 to 6.00 delivered. overall demand outpaces supply.
