Changes in County Probation Committee Near Detention Home Completion
Judge Densmore approved several changes to the county probation committee. Mars J. P. Newton of Corona was named to a one year term, replacing Dr. Louis Harvey Clarke. Mrs. M. M. Penteney of Riverside was appointed for a four year term, replacing Mrs. S. C. Evans. Existing members Taylor Rouse, Francis Cuttle, W. H. Robinson, Mrs. W. P. Russell and Mrs. W. N. Taylor will continue. The committee will oversee the new detention home and nominate the matron and superintendent, with appointments made by the board of supervisors upon judge approval. The detention home nears completion and committee duties will increase accordingly.
