Mexican burglar caught by chief
Narcisco Robles was absent from home yesterday when a burglary occurred and cash and clothing were taken. Chief Ramsey reported the accused burglar, J. Carmona, jailed. Carmona allegedly admitted guilt. Loot included two woolen shirts four dollars shoes one dollar twenty five cents suitcase two dollars fifty cents and eight dollars and eighty five cents in money.

Hemet Banker Faces 5000 Dollar Suit Over Losses
Riverside April 10. John G. Scales former cashier at Hemet Bank is accused in a Riverside suit against United States Fidelity and Guaranty for 5000 dollars. The complaint alleges Scales appropriated 1908.18 in one instance and paid out other sums for worthless paper. Scales is said to reside in San Diego.
