A large tributes service for A. F. Call drew over 160 attendees to the Grand Boulevard residence in Corona Monday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00. Rev Chester Ferris led prayer and Frank Collier sang. G Harold Powell praised Call as a leader in citrus trade and rail-law circles, noting his civic work and pioneering spirit in Algona Iowa and later in Corona California.

Primary Fem Club Plans Convention and Park Improvements
The Woman's Improvement Club met at the home of Mrs. Mre. Jmiftidou to handle business. They read notice of the twelfth annual State Federation convention in Fresno and appointed Mrs. Holloway as delegate with Joy Jameson as alternate. The group endorsed city park improvements and urged council funding. Officers were elected for the coming year with final election set for May 13. A club house site deed was presented for Main and Eleventh streets donated by Mrs. Joy. Next meeting is April 22 with S.S. Schultze to discuss story hours at the Public Library.
