The Queen Colony Fruit Exchange reports about 1.8 million dollars in deposits this year as citrus shipments to eastern markets rise despite lower totals. Returns for oranges and lemons vary year over year with lemons up 150 percent in money and oranges up 95 percent, while shipments run about six carloads weekly and next year’s forecast eyes around 1400 cars.

About forty attended with team members and guests including J. J. Jones Eddie Opplinger Paul Perkinson W. R. Brown John Hammer and T. G. Carpenter. Carpenter served as toastmaster and Emil Allee spoke for the team praising cooperative effort.
Tonight the Missionary society of Congregational church hosts a picnic and business meeting at the park. The Philogian class of First Methodist Episcopal plans a pot luck supper at the park. Santa Ana Band concert at the recreation ground. Two day bargain carnival begins. Rebekah Lodge box social in I C O F hall at 8 p m Saturday. Shopping day with advertiser listings. Sunday services at all churches start 9 30 a m.
B A Ketchum is carving 1154 acres along the Corona to Norco road into 134 acre tracts. Each subdivision includes a house with modern conveniences, with one three room bath home completed. Water under pressure and electricity service are available, making the site ideal for Corona crops and Norco gardens.
