Donald Francis Gibson was arrested in Pasadena on a forgery charge linked to six forged Orange Heights Fruit association checks cashed at Corona National Bank. Blank association checks stolen from Santa Fe and Main office last April were found at Gibson’s Belvedere Gardens home, clearing a long mystery and saving the association from further losses. The total loss tied to the forgeries was $135.

Funeral services were held at Sunnyslope cemetery for Harry T. Ashley five year old son of Mrs Irene Ashley. He died last evening at 6 15 after a two week illness. Born in Corona on April first 1920 he left a large circle of sorrowing friends and relatives. Mrs Ashley is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Scoville and resides at 811 Washburn Street.
