The Chamber of Commerce meeting tomorrow at 7 45 will feature special exhibitions of lighting effects and window displays. Forum committee chair M May says the displays will make the session the most interesting and instructive of the year.
In Corona, City Recorder Miller’s court heard Manuel Beja and his wife argue publicly. The judge offered blunt advice and the couple was dismissed, with police to follow up to restore neighborhood tranquility. The event segued into a community education plan on window displays and merchandising.
The Corona community will enjoy a Thursday evening production by junior high pupils featuring Robin Hood and a full cast including Melvin Smith as Robin Hood and Robert Bailey as King Richard. Miss Mary Brown directs with costumes by Sarah Monette and scenery by Fanny Truesdell.

Mr and Mrs B K Fife of Newton Kansas arrived last week and will make their home here. They have two children in the family and Mrs Fife is a sister of C K Brower, popular proprietress at the pantry counter in the Alpha Beta.
Mrs Eva C Wheeler state president of the W C T U leads a bootlegger trial program at the Congregational church tonight at 730. A jury of local residents will hear the case with regulation procedures and expert arguments from the bootlegger's attorney.
The Garden Section will hold its annual picnic and officer election at Corona City park on Wednesday at 12 30. Members are asked to bring their own dishes and silver. most members have signified attendance, promising a delightful time. The club house will host the event at the same location instead of the park.
W L Peeler completed a deal Saturday to become general superintendent of Riverside Reo Sales Service with offices on Market street Riverside. He has lived 14 years in Corona and is well known in business circles. He will split time between Corona and Riverside and may move to Riverside later.
Mrs. C. E. Harris is bedridden with a touch of pneumonia and is under the care of two doctors and a trained nurse. The arrangement suggests a serious but stable illness managed at home with professional medical attention.
Corona lost to the Lee All Stars of San Bernardino 14 to 7 at the local park. After a tight start the visitors added seven runs in the eighth inning, prompting Wheeler's exit and a Corona bullpen collapse. George Gaffrey and G B Mitchell take over Maytag washer sales in Corona. They set headquarters at Alpha Beta Market on Main Street and will maintain existing sales and service, handling Corona for Schlueters of California. Both have Riverside office ties and welcome the promotion.
