A Ninth and Main Street carnival hosted by local church youths raised 43.01 with about 30.00 net for charity. Despite winds delaying booths, a large crowd enjoyed the Hawaiian Troupe, ice cream, a fish pond, and a live cat in the Cat Sup performance.
Earl C. Cook, 30, of Ethanac, and Bertha Mae Wright, 27, obtained a marriage license in Riverside this morning. The couple plans to move to Ethanac after the wedding, with details closely guarded as to date.
Carrie Stone Freeman of Los Angeles renowned pianist organist and composer to perform at the Public Library tomorrow night. She will imitate California bird calls and lead a community sings event at eight o'clock. admission is free.
