Fourth of July Band Booster Events Planned at Senior High
A Band Boosters meeting outlined plans for the Fourth of July at the Senior High stadium West Sixth Street from 3 to 10 p.m. A talent show runs 7 30 to 9 p.m. with Ed gar Coleman as master of ceremonies and co chairs Mr and Mrs Algy Unruh. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Safety support from Corona fire department, a dance in the gym after, and an 11 piece Johnny Allen band. Concession novelties and a lamp prize showcased. posters and banners promote activities. Jamboree Scouts model camp will be on site with 35 scouts from Corona Elsinore Arlington and staff aligned to Irvine Ranch Jamboree. Public invited to tour camp and learn camp routine. Harold Becker joins as instrumental instructor. four summer classes plus a 40-student beginner class. Co chairs Mr and Mrs Charles Black assist the Fourth of July committee.

Collision damages two drivers on Belle avenue in Riverside
Police report two men involved in a Thursday afternoon collision on Belle avenue between Fifth and Sixth. Orville Ray Arnett 51 of 9818 Mission Boulevard Riverside and Robert Leé Wilkes 21 of 834 Pine Street Corona were reportedly damaged when Wilkes pulling away from the east curb struck Arnett who was northbound on Belle.

Denies Drunk Driving Charge Against John Egan
John Archer Egan 32 of 117 East Sixth Street is charged with driving while intoxicated. He pleaded not guilty and a trial date was set for July 8 at Temescal Judicial District Court. Bail was set at $200 after his arrest by city police on East Sixth Street.

Businessmen Plead Not All Fools in AD-X2 Case
Astin testified that thirty six dollars of AD-X2 in twelve three dollar packages contained about five cents worth of chemicals. Erwin Cunningham, a marine engineer for the Army Transportation Corps in Rio Vista California, said he was satisfied with AD-X2 in heavy shipboard batteries but the Army no longer uses it. Emerson Blum, a battery foreman at Benicia Army Arsenal, said if allowed to use AD-X2 he could save the life of ninety five percent of batteries arriving in his shop in poor condition.

She was born October 8 1881 in Hanover NL and was active in the Norco community for 20 years. She leaves two sons Jack Pratt and Lawrence Pratt and four daughters Esther Shoulder Virginia Hahin Vera Beatty Ruth Beatty. 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, plus four brothers and four sisters. Daughters from Lancaster Ohio are en route to Corona for the services. Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home.
