Loretta Hastvedt and Hlaitie Wast yvedt hosted a group gathering Friday evening in the Hastvedt garden. A chatter of friends enjoyed games and dancing with attendees Dorothy Alexander Betty Beaver Loretta Hastvedt Elaine Bastvedt Marilyn Kartsey Coroha Mary Clark Betty Jean Marshall Ray Crow David Crickett Donald Bess and Carlyle Cole.
Miss Marie Rowland a Washington school faculty member will wed Ernest Moore Sunday afternoon at 3 in Pomona's Pilgrim Congregational Church. A reception will follow at the church.
Mrs Barbara Sapp was honored at a stork shower hosted by Mrs Myrtle Sapp of 61414 Joy Street. Guests included Etta Walker Marian Alden Alice Sapp Addie Russell Lee Norman and others. Marian Alden sang Mighty Lak a Rose and Mason Thompson played piano. A refreshment course followed.

Mr and Mrs Clair Hutchison marked their nineteenth wedding anniversary with a dinner at the Old South Tea Room in Riverside Guests in attendance were Mr and Mrs Marion Featherston and Mr and Mrs Howard Ware The Hutchisons entertained at home that evening Guests planned to include Miss Isabel McLean Colin McLean and Mr and Mrs Dean Kesterson of Claremont tonight
Mrs Homer Walker of 770 Center Street Noreo was surprised by co workers Friday evening as they gathered to celebrate her birthday. Guests included many neighbors and friends who presented a gift and shared refreshments and birthday cake.
The Misses Lou Mae Anderson and Leah Kidd are expected home this afternoon after a two week vacation at Long Beach visiting relatives. They will dine with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kidd at 112 East Kendall Street. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCarty and daughter Miss Margo plan a Sunday picnic at Ganesha Park and then attend a rodeo at the Coliseum before overnighting in Los Angeles.
