Woman's Club Delighters Tea and Memorial Notes

A musical tea hosted by the Woman's Club featured performances by Miss Iane MacGillivray Miss Loma Tower and Miss Vera Eagon with piano accompaniment by Mrs A J Rouse. Local Episcopalians Attend Convocation at Uplands

The San Bernardino Convocation of Episcopal churches held its spring meeting at Uplands. Attendees included Mrs. A. M. Stafford and Mr. J. P. Key with Mr. and Mrs. Wa. Northrop of Corona. After devotional services, reports from parishes and missions followed a noon luncheon hosted by Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Northrop, with a sympathy resolution for the ill Rev. C. E. Maimann.

Transcontinental Flight Delayed in Fog Record Attempt

Davis and Springer plan a record trans Atlantic coast flight from Riverside to Mineola Field Long Island in the Cloudster biplane. The craft 56 feet wingspan 36 feet length 14 feet high uses a 420 horsepower Liberty engine weighs 9600 pounds with 670 gallons gasoline and 50 gallons castor oil. They will alternate piloting to rest and continue toward potential world and American records.

C E Convention Opens Tomorrow in Glendale

Corona will send at least three representatives to the 34th annual State Christian Endeavor convention opening in Glendale tomorrow June 25. Riverside county C E president Glen D. Wight and Miss Dauphine Page will attend portions of the sessions. Dr Cortland Myers and Rev Francis J. Van Horn are among speakers with a packed program from morning quiet hours to evening sessions and an alumni banquet scheduled for Monday.
