Burns Fatal to Perris Citizen at Belvedere Hotel
Frank Johnston thirty four year old manager of Perris Belvedere hotel died in Riverside Community Hospital from burns suffered in a gas explosion at the hotel on June 14. Coroner’s verdict found no blame. He came from Los Angeles to run the hotel owned by Ralph L. Goetz. Survived by widow Irene and mother Mary Johnston. Funeral in Los Angeles. Johnston was burned evacuating a kitchen range fire and was rescued by housekeeper Emily Marks and taken to Communiss hospital under Dr. Thomas Card care.
