Lemon market sags as crop surplus weighs on prices
Cold weather and import lemons flood the market as California ships 550 carloads of oranges and 600 carloads of lemons eastward since November. Foreign supply adds about 200 cars this week with 400 more lemons afloat, leaving 1500 to 2000 carloads unsold in the United States. Valencia shipments lag and prices stay weak while navels show satisfactory demand. Queen Colony notes no quick relief in weather or surplus reduction.

Auto Accident on Temescal Road Injures Alderhill Women
Mrs S W Winterhalter and Miss Lillian Hantson of Alderhill were treated at Corona Hospital after an early morning crash on Temescal Road. Winterhalter had minor injuries. Hantson suffered facial and knee lacerations. a young niece was uninjured. Winterhalter drove a Buick that sustained heavy front radiator damage. the stage ahead was rear battered after a sudden stop at the railroad crossing near the Chart ers Davis plant. The trio left for home later the same day.

Two Men Arraigned in Riverside Slaying Case
Nick Corcelli aged 68 and Tony Con Hele aged 33 were arraigned before Justice Difani on charges of slaying Frank Daniere at the Corcelli home on Merrill Street just after midnight Friday June 18. Difani ordered both held without bond for a preliminary hearing on July 7 at 2 o'clock. No new details of the feud leading to the death were disclosed.

Three Fighters Die in Lindsey West Virginia Brawl
State police said no arrests will be made after a fight at Lindsey West Virginia left three men dead. Victims were Enis Roberts age 60, his son in law George Hardin, and Mell Sanson age 40, the only participants in the trouble.
