Lowell Shook, 55, owner of Shook Shade Shop in Riverside, died after a noon collision near Norco. Mrs. Genta Rippee, 42, suffered a fractured spine and two weeks’ confinement. her daughter Melva was scratched. Laurence B. Shook, 19, was driving the other car. his parents were passengers. Inquest to be scheduled by deputy coroner Arvid M. Depew. Mrs. Rippee is wife of Jim Rippee, Corona Steam Laundry proprietor.
