The Altar Society of St Edward's Catholic Church schedules a card party in the new parish house on Monday evening June 26. Chairwoman Mrs Agnes Hildebrand leads assistants Mrs E B Hastings Miss Ann Ninteman and Miss Marguerite Tracy.
Mrs. C. H. Barber and Mrs. L. Je. Wright hosted the L B H Circle at the Barber home for a breakfast at 8 30 this morning. About 40 ladies attended.
Southern District Federation of Women's Clubs members gather June 27 28 at Hotel Del Mar for a two day summer program conference. District president Mrs E B Smith of Anaheim aims for large attendance from five counties with business sessions a President dinner and music.

Odd Fellows and Rebekahs plan joint memorial at LO.C.F. hall with Rev. Fred E White as speaker. A swim party at Los Serranos welcomed by Beverly Burman and others.
The annual American Legion Auxiliary dinner for W. H. Jameson Jr. Post 216 at Memorial Hall featured a Czecho Slovak theme and a program of film about Czecho Slovakia. Mr Valenta of Los Angeles showed color pictures of buildings parks and industry. Mrs Sylvie Feldman chaired the event with assistance from Adolph Whitney and Mrs Whitney who prepared menu items and spoke on Czecho Slovakia. Decorations centered on national motifs and junior members wore peasant costumes. Mrs H Baker oversaw ticket sales.

They were guests at a tea by Dr R L Wilbur and wife and toured the San Francisco World’s Fair. Mrs Whitcomb won a three minute long distance call at the Bell Telephone exhibit to South Bend Indiana and spoke with L C Whitcomb the night before Father’s Day.
