Starring in Jazz Concert Here Tonight Pictured in the Somerset Four from Riverside who will be featured on the Jazz Concert tonight at the High School auditorium at 7 30 o'clock. The Somerset Four have played many club engagements in this area. They are all versatile musicians and feature both sweet and swing music. Teddie Bunn guitarist and comedian of the group astounds his audience by suddenly whipping his guitar over his head or behind his back without missing a beat. Curtis Counce doubles on cello played with the same hot rhythm as his bass solos. The Teen Toe Tappers Corona high school dance band will also be featured on the program. Buster Wishart will be featured in the sax section and will join the Somerset Four during the jam session. The program is sponsored by the Band Boosters club to raise funds for the summer music camp. Tickets may be obtained from any band member or at the door.

Charles Edgar Adams, 44, of 1040 East Sixth Street, is jailed on a attempted murder charge after allegedly beating Louise Pearson, 55, of the same address. Pearson, hospitalized at Corona with multiple injuries, is expected to recover per her doctor. Police say Adams, an ex convict with a long record, attacked Pearson in a cabin they reportedly shared.
Athletics captain Remi Chagnon suffered a broken right foot in a San Bernardino game against the Murray Dancers. He collided at third base while a runner attempted to reach the base and is hospitalized with his foot in a cast. Expected recovery is 10 days or more, delaying his return to Television Center duties.

He entered the Navy in March 1939 and served on submarines including USS Greenfish until May 1951 when he moved to communications duty. He graduated Redlands High School and received his commission in April 1951. Raton New Mexico is called the Gateway City of the state.
