A maternity tea will be held at Corona Community Hospital on Tuesday at 2 p.m. The event includes a movie, a tour of the labor and delivery rooms, obstetrical ward and nursery, with hospital staff answering questions and door prizes. Interested persons are invited to attend.
Alicia Monica Ramos daughter of Mr and Mrs Rudolph A Ramos of 401 Merrill St will wed Hugh Woodburn Black son of Mrs Kathryn K Black of 19051 Consul in a July 10 ceremony at St Edward's Church. The couple met in Corona and Chaffey College while Ramos studies Home Economics at San Fernando Valley College. Black is in the U S Army stationed at Fort Ord.
Yolanda Campos daughter of Mrs Agustina Campos of 31 Ramona St married Vase David Diaz son of Mr and Mrs Lespolds Diaz in a June ceremony at St Fade wards Catholic Church with Father MacDonald officiating. Maid of honor Mary Munoz best man Manuel Munoz bridesmaid Mary Marquez usher Steve Marquez flower girl Setirec Munoz ring bearer Ruben Lopez. They planned a wedding trip to Mexico with a reception at the American Legion Hall and will reside in Ontario. Yolanda is a Coruna Senior High School graduate. The Brownie troop also notes Lisa Nelson’s fly up to Junior Girl Scout level led by Julie Hess.
Local clubs and government bodies post evening meetings and activities across Corona and Norco. Highlights include Corona City Council sessions at 4 and 7:30 p.m., Norco City Council 7:30 p.m., School Board 7:30 p.m., American Legion Post 7:30 p.m., and various organization gatherings at churches and cultural venues this evening.
