Jeep Passenger Breaks Arm In Street Collision
Elmo Howard 65 of Long Beach suffered a fractured right elbow after a jeep driven by 17 year old John Nick Vega ran onto the curb on Highway 18 at West Sixth Street. The vehicle overturned in front of Corona Florist. Howard was hospitalized at Corona Hospital. A separate crash involving Marine Major Ed ward D Oglesby 32 of Camp Pendleton rear ended Ladislao Guzman 56 of Corona as Guzman turned left from Ontario onto Temescal Street at 3 35 yesterday afternoon.

Home Gardens Man Reports Kidnapping

Unexplained blast rocks Los Angeles Civic Center
An unidentified explosion near the Los Angeles Civic Center at 10 42 this morning caused no injuries or damage.
