Automobile Collision at Santa Fe Crossing Injures Two

An auto driven by Mexicans struck a Santa Fe hand car at Hamner highway crossing east of Corona at 7 40 this morning. Augustine Caballero and Felipe Ponac were taken to Corona hospital with severe cuts and bruises. The car was damaged but the hand car remained uninjured.

Boxing Arena Planned Near City At Corona Sixth Street

Promoters McLain and Lowe lease the old ball park west of Corona on Sixth Street Prado Road to build a boxing arena. Bouts will feature top regional fighters with free admission at the gate for donations. A public opening card is promised for the coming week.

White pays $15 speeding fine. warrant withdrawn

Journee White, secretary of the colored club, paid a $15 speeding fine yesterday in the office of Justice of the Peace H. K. Stahl through a club employee. The warrant of arrest issued for White’s failure to pay was ordered withdrawn.

Norco Car Crash Injures Miss Lillibridge

In Norco on a Wednesday evening Tilden Bandy and Hazel Lillibridge swerved to avoid another car on Hamner avenue and hit a tree. Lillibridge was cut by flying glass but not seriously hurt as Bandy’s car suffered a bent chassis and damaged fender and running board. Ira Dansby also reports an earlier collision when the car ahead slowed to read a road sign without signaling.

Pomona Tire Explosion Throws Three From Auto

Three Pomona residents were treated at Pomona Valley hospital after an exploding tire caused their car to overturn on a return trip from Riverside shortly after noon. Mrs. Roy Johnson sustained a likely fractured hip and internal injuries, Mrs. B L Winterer had chest injuries and severe bruising, B L Winterer was badly cut and bruised, and the Winterer children escaped with minor cuts and bruises.
