MEAWI EN June 3 President Li Yuan Hung fled from Pekin to Tieng Psin fearing an uprising by unpaid Chinese troops. Pekin, the capital, is left without government as a result as foreign legations seek safety and fears of looting spread.
Greece imposes wartime measures to reinforce the frontier with Bulgaria while Jugo-Slavia rushes thousand Serbian reserves to the border with ammo and troops. Bulgaria partly mobilizes after a Neuilly treaty breach as Belgrade seeks de mobilization and Zankoff enlists peasants amid unrest. Former premier Stamboulisky is variously reported dead, captured, or leading rebels toward Sofia.

Ford Motor Company reports a new daily output record of 6658 vehicles for domestic use on May 21, surpassing the prior 6615 mark. Through the year Ford expanded production to meet high orders as the Lincoln division also notes strong weekly totals in the Ford News release.
