Riverside Visitors, Summer Visits Noted in Local Item

Mrs J T Crandell and daughter Beth were Riverside visitors Saturday. Mr and Mrs Alfred Daniels and son Richard and Mr and Mrs J T Crandell, daughter Beth and son Jack were visitors in Riverside Sunday afternoon. Corona hikers summit Santiago Peak from Saddleback trail

Secretary E. F. Clark of the Corona Chamber of Commerce with Edmund F. Jr and Geo. E. Snidecor with sons John and Elwyn led a hiking party to the 5600 foot summit of Old Saddleback near Coldwater Canyon. They camped above Coldwater Saturday and reached the peak Sunday at 10 AM amid hazy views and sea of fog over the valley.

Mrs Emma Nichols of San Bernardino, formerly of this city, visited with Mr and Mrs Alan Davis on Sunday. Fern Husted, in the army at Fort Rosecrans, returned home on furlough to East 8th street. John Engle visited Long Beach with his daughter and her family. J C Walker sold 319 Belle avenue to Albert Duphius a tinsmith from Glass Brothers. Duphius has wife and young son. Sale closed by N C Hansen. Corona City schools set June 17 as the last day.
