Victor A J Van Lint of Corona and Lawrence B Brown of Norco led 287 graduates in Caltech’s 40th annual commencement in Pasadena. Van Lint earned a PhD in physics. Brown received the bachelor and master of science in electrical engineering. Robert W Lynam, married last weekend, also earned a B S in mechanical engineering and won a student body honor key. Dr I J Rabi gave the address. President L A DuBridge presided at the ceremony.

Funeral Rites Set for Henry E. Lane 41
Funeral services for Henry Edward Lane aged 41 will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Bell-Thomas Mortuary chapel with Rev. William A. Penner of Corona Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment follows at Sunny Slope Cemetery. Lane died Tuesday of a sudden heart attack at his Home Gardens residence 3997 North Byron Street. He leaves a widow and three children.
