Death Inquiry Delayed for Stomach Analysis

Riverside June 10 Investigators postpone death inquiry into Miss Pauline Rudemetkin of Los Angeles after she was found dead beside an automobile at Fruitvale. Dr L J Clark and Coroner Ben F White refuse to sign the death certificate until chemical analysis of the stomach is completed at A B Babcock laboratories in Riverside. Results expected today and inquest to follow. Miss Rudemetkin, 26, Russian native, was visiting Fruitvale with real estate observers E W Wicklund of Ontario and F H Boyd of San Jacinto. No signs of violence observed.

Riverside County Delays State Takeover of 150 Miles of Highways

Riverside County officials announced the transfer of 150 miles of roads to the California secondary highway system will be delayed to August 14, six weeks past the planned July 1 start. Romola Case Nears End In Los Angeles Trial

After eight weeks of testimony in Los Angeles the defense rested late Tuesday in the Romola Inc mail fraud case involving Alexander Hursh and nineteen co defendants. Early action on Santa Ana river work foreseen

San Bernardino. Construction of flood control works on the Santa Ana river and its tributaries, authorized by Senator Ralph E. Swing's bill signed by Governor Ralph, is expected to start late this summer. The program includes a $400,000 state appropriation to be matched by counties districts and private interests over two years. Lytle Creek and other tributaries are planned for early projects with state engineer approval before funding.
