A 7:30 p.m. June 11 meeting at city hall will finalize groups as promotions and checkups proceed amid lagging bond sales nationwide. Kirkland of Corona, pilot of a B 17 in the 351st Bombardment Group in England, is awarded a fifth Oak Leaf Cluster to his Air Medal for meritorious achievement on more than 30 combat missions over Germany. He attacked targets including Koblenz Bonn Bitburg Bremen Munich Siegen Cologne Ludwigs haven Dresden and others.
