In Corona a local chemist found two samples of a homemade drink from George England containing 10 percent and 4 percent alcohol. The brew, made of lemons oranges and sugar, led to charges for England and H E Lappel who drank it. Police seized 4 ½ gallons in stages of manufacture at England’s South Main home. England pleaded guilty to possessing intoxicating liquor. Judge Miller imposed a 250 dollar fine and 90 days in jail, suspended for 200 and 50 dollars paid.
