Ernest Sachse of 3140 Kips Korner, Norco, reports vandalism damage to his pickup truck camper windshield and obscene vandal marks. He notes prior break ins and tool theft, while sheriff’s deputies cite additional car pushing incidents at Vine and Bluff intersections.
Thirteen Corona-Norco Unified School District staff members receive certificates of appreciation at the board meeting. Supt. Charles S. Terrell says it is the first formal recognition by the board in its official capacity. Honorees include Katherine Bruce Ruth Ramsay Clarice Shoff Pearl Stuart Lila Chausee Frederick Corden Helen Schmidt Gordon Duncan custodians Raymond Raney Fred Brannon Paul Miller Harry Stuart and librarian Helen Lewis who organized the Norco High School library.
Registrations are open for Lamaze natural childbirth and prenatal care courses at Corona Community Hospital starting June 13. Instructor Arlene Gray will lead eight weekly sessions with a $25 fee for one course or $35 for both, limited to 10 couples per course. Reservations: 734-4572. The 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. class begins June 13, followed by 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Lamaze completion certificates will aid hospital admission as Lamaze patients.
Trading closes with mixed results as major averages show narrow moves. Acme Markets slide 30 percent while IBM and Gen Motors post gains amid a broad price range across sectors. Dow Jones data show 30 industrials at 831.59, up 2.90 points.
Eleanor Brinton wife of Norco Mayor Harry Brinton is reported doing fine after heart surgery at Loma Linda Medical Center to repair a birth defect. Doctors just back from Vietnam performed the operation. several pints of blood were needed. Blood donors urged to contact the center or Brinton at 737-5274.
Eighth grade speech class from Auburndale Junior High in Corona joined a Riverside County Board of Supervisors session as a field trip. Supervisor Norton Younglove, a former teacher, led a half hour class for 27 students while Chair Clayton A. Record Jr. and county officials were introduced to the visitors.
Auburndale Junior High bands and choir present their annual spring concert Thursday at 7 30 p.m. in the AJH multi purpose room. Larry Olson leads beginning to advanced bands while Dan Delaheyde directs the choir. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
Corona-Norco Unified School District moves to delay Board of Governors vote on joining Riverside City College district. AB-3562 would require two-district options on ballots. If delayed, voters may face November ballot with RCC yes no choice, or March 1975 if needed.

Officers from Corona's burglary suppression division will tour Stratford and Heritage Home tracts Saturday to inspect homes and advise on security. Two teams will operate door to door, listing security improvements and leaving recommendations with occupants.
Jennie R. Guillem 60 of 416 Main St. Corona died today at Corona Community Hospital. Born December 29 1913 in New Mexico she moved to Corona in 1923 from Colorado. She was a member of St Edward Catholic Church. Survived by husband Macario two daughters Heler Rodriguez Martha Paz a son Richard Guillem four foster children including Richard Bridges and Inarae Bridges nine grandchildren one brother Luther Rodriguez four sisters Connie, Della, and Margaret. Rosary Friday 7 p.m. at Thomas Siler Mortuary. Funeral mass Saturday 8:15 a.m. at St Edward Catholic Church with interment Sunnyslope Cemetery.
