Heavy Fine for Carrying Weapon in San Pedro

James Costello of 381 Eleventh Street San Pedro received a fine of 350 dollars or six months in jail after being charged with concealed weapon possession in a police court. He claimed the revolver found in the sedan pocket might belong to his father in law and that he did not know it was there. Costello, 22, said he was in business in San Pedro though police records list him as a newspaper solicitor.
