At about 4:00 this morning a right rear wheel came off a 1950 GMC truck trailer driven by Dale Cor. Tey of Lincoln Street Ana senet. The wheel struck the south side of a cabin at 911 West Sixth Street where Mrs. Josie Gwin slept. She was uninjured and the truck was taken to Swaney's garage for repairs.
The Moody Institute of Science film Dust of Destiny was shown at the Corona Lions club gathering in the Hotel Chandler. Bud Reynolds served as program chairman with W A Cropper handling the projector. Reservations opened for a June 28 installation dinner dance at the Victoria club.
Thomas L Coyne of 403 East Sixth Street welcomed police at 3 30 am after being picked up for intoxication near Hiffo cafe at Rimpa u avenue and East Sixth Street. He was fined 35 dollars by Judge W S Caudill in Temescal Judicial court.
An ex-boyfriend Samuel F. Cavazos, 25, police report, broke into Miss Mosquera's home and stabbed her three times. Ava Gardner plans to move to Lake Tahoe Nevada for a divorce from Frank Sinatra, while Sinatra and ex-husbands Mickey Rooney and Artie Shaw are to perform in Las Vegas next week.
The Imperial Valley Irrigation District reports the Salton Sea level rising to 234.80 feet on Tuesday. This marks an increase of 0.36 feet over six months and 1.20 feet above the level a year ago.

Ray Maciel Varela and Emilio Felix Juarez of Corona aged 18 and 20 were fined 50 dollars each and given 60 days in the custody of the sheriff on charges of furnishing alcohol to two juveniles aged 16 and 17. D Reynolds son of Mr Reynolds of Corona will graduate this Sunday from the College of Medical Evangelists at Loma Linda and Los Angeles with a doctor of medicine degree. He is among 92 graduates in the School of Medicine as the college marks its 50th anniversary in 1956. Reynolds is scheduled to report to S Naval Hospital for duty.
