Washington school teachers entertain fellow educators at a Corona gathering hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ashcroft near Prado. Activities include a picnic on the lawn, horse shoe throwing, and a high school quartet impersonating ranch employees, with a large family presence planned.

The City of Corona California proposes to order construction of an ornamental lighting system along Grand Boulevard. The plan declares the project publicbenefit and to be financed by bonds. The board sets time and place to hear objections within the district to be assessed.
Corona California Board of Trustees approves a public works plan to install 181 ornamental reinforced concrete lighting posts with wiring pipes lamps and foundations along Grant Boulevard. Bonds issued to cover unpaid assessments with a seven percent interest rate mature nine years from July next following ten months from the date of issuance. Public hearing scheduled June 21 1927 with notices to be published and property diagrams prepared showing assessments by parcel.
