A new Corona business group proposes a local credit bureau style program to help assess and transfer credit ratings, warn against flim flam artists, and boost community prosperity. Charter members pay $10 per share, commit to quarterly dues, and the organization plans to operate as a non profit.
Riverside and Corona chambers organize a county wide relief drive for Santa Barbara after the quake. Riverside county allocates about 50 percent of a $15,800 quota with local committees in Corona coordinating fund raising and plans. The effort is backed by the California Development association and aims to meet a statewide relief need of $1.1 million.
Sacramento reports each of California’s 480 new laws going into effect today costs the state 647.63 dollars. Figures from the state controller show the last legislature cost 323,823.94 dollars.
