The City Planning Commission approved tentative maps for two new subdivisions in Corona. City Judge to Leave Judicial Post Jan 5
Judge Mary Alice Sutter will leave the Temescal City Court on January 5 ending five and a half years of service. The Temescal Judicial District Court will replace both the city and township courts in 1953. Sutter, appointed July 1, 1947, oversaw 7 163 cases with receipts totaling 106 886 dollars.

Three LA youths held in car theft case
Three 18 year old Los Angeles youths suspected in a stolen 1952 Ford were taken into custody Sunday night and turned over to metropolitan police. Death row at San Quentin grows to twenty two with three new inmates
The arrival of three convicted murderers raises San Quentin death row to 22. John Chauncy Lawrance of Riverside County, 37, was convicted of the sex murder of his teenage niece Kathryn Knodel of Redlands.
