Great-grandmother in Lockdown Foils Burglars at Home
Mrs. Mary Gard Jameson of 326 East Olive awakened to intruders in a room next to her bedroom and ordered them to leave. The burglars fled, dropping items in the yard as they escaped, taking a gray mink coat, auto stereo, a Bavarian glass stein goblet, coins, an embroidered silk screen, and a statue. Police searched the grounds after the escape through a back window. Jameson, a world traveler and former Pan-American League president, has mission-work ties to regions once visited by Dr. Albert Schweitzer.

Crash at Main and Sixth hospitalizes three
A two car crash at Main and Sixth early today sent three people to Corona Community Hospital. Roy Marks 48 was described in serious condition along with Herschel L. Vandeventer 52. Kenneth A. Langdon 28 was treated and released. The crash at 1 40 a m involved a Volkswagen driven by Marks and a 1965 Chevrolet Corvair driven by Langdon. The VW overturned trapping Marks. rescue crews freed him.
