Five month old Lydia Martinez of 217 West Second Street Corona died this morning at home. Born July 18, she is survived by her parents Phillip and wife, two brothers Phillip Jr and David, sister Helen, and grandparents Leon Raya of Ontario. Burial set for 2 PM Tuesday at Sunnyslope.

Marcos Pablano of Orange appeared before Judge George E. McCauley to plead guilty to a felony charge involving a fictitious $300 check given to A. J. Thorpe, a Corona auto dealer, as a first car payment. He was arrested Thursday by Corona police after authorities found no bank account backing the check. Bail of $2,500 was set but unavailable, and he was jailed. Pablano indicated a desire to enter superior court and plead guilty.
