The points call for Italy to pay indemnity, recognition of Ethiopia as sovereign, an international board to fix the Somaliland border, and foreign aid for Ethiopia’s domestic and foreign issues. Auto Sales in 35 Reported 48 Percent Above 34 Washington The Commerce Department reports 1935 automobile sales for 11 months up 48 percent from 1934 with December trends strong.
Legionnaires searched the ruins of the citys largest department store after a blaze burned fifteen hours yesterday and threatened the business district. Half of the firefighters suffered exposure or injuries and forty were overcome by smoke.
Rumors spread of potential resignations in the Roosevelt administration with reports that Postmaster General Farley might quit to lead the Democratic committee and Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau Jr. could resign for a diplomatic posting abroad. Treasury officials dismissed the claim as absurd.

Johnson. secretary is Frank A Tetley Jr. The 19 jurors include residents from Riverside and nearby cities with sessions set to begin January 7.

A massive blast in the ethylene section of the California Chemical plant in Newark Alameda County on December 27 killed James Brodie and injured William Horning.
