Lt. Gwin L. Walker USN son of Mr and Mrs Clarence Walker 607 West Sixth Corona has a permanent Air Medal citation from Secretary James Forrestal for meritorious aerial achievement. While with Torpedo Bombing Squadron 3 aboard USS Yorktown he flew a five run attack on a light cruiser and a seaplane base in the French Indo China area on January 12 1945, enduring heavy anti aircraft fire to damage enemy dock and hangar facilities.
