Setterstroms Win Top Trophy In Corona Christmas Display
The Walter Setterstrom family of 314 West Francis won grand sweepstakes and a division trophy in Corona Chamber of Commerce Christmas decor. They worked their display since Thanksgiving with nine children making decorations themselves. They have been in Corona seven months and have won first place trophies in seven prior residences. Other trophy winners included Bill Herter for an ice skating scene and Bob Reuss for fifteen figure decorations. Eighteen judges toured Corona from 7 to 10 p.m. ribbons were awarded to runners-up.

Four in family injured in Riverside collision
Four members of the Slagel family were treated and released at Corona Community Hospital after a two car crash at Valley View and Fifth Street in Eastvale. Roper Ming of Chandler, 16, ran the stop sign and was cited. Merle Slagel 31 Verla 30 Carl 13 Theresa 9 were injured. Ming was uninjured. The 4:20 p.m. crash heavily damaged both vehicles.

Woman Dies After Dialing Wrong Number for Help
Mrs Shirley Westfall 30 died from a leg wound suspected to be from a varicose vein after a failed attempt to call for help on a dialed wrong number recording. Police found the scene Sunday morning with the phone off the hook. Her husband Clifford Westfall lived half a block away and found her body upon returning from work.
